Privacy Policy

Our core privacy promise

Budget Worthy does not require a Worthy Labs account, connect to your bank, display advertising, or use your budget data for advertising or behavioral profiling.

Information stored by the app

Depending on the features you use, Budget Worthy may store information you enter about income, available funds and balances, bills and payments, spending, savings and reserves, credit cards and debts, cryptocurrency, transfers, giving, check-ins, categories, dates, preferences, and notes. It may also keep local drafts and recent recovery snapshots.

This information is stored in Budget Worthy’s private app storage on your device. Budget Worthy does not provide application-level encryption for the saved budget. Protection also depends on your device security, including your screen lock and Android’s storage protections.

Android device backup

If Android device backup is enabled for your Google account, Google may include Budget Worthy app data in your encrypted Android device backup. This can help restore your budget after reinstalling the app or moving to another compatible device.

Android backup is provided and controlled by Google, not Worthy Labs. Worthy Labs cannot view, retrieve, manage, or restore your Google backup. You control Android backup through your device and Google account settings. Google’s terms and privacy policy govern its backup service.

Backups, reports, and sharing you initiate

Budget Worthy lets you create a readable backup file and export selected reports as PDF or CSV files. You choose where those files are saved and which app or service receives them.

These files may contain personal financial information and are not encrypted by Budget Worthy. Anyone with access to a file may be able to read it. The destination’s privacy and security practices apply after transfer. Worthy Labs does not receive a copy unless you intentionally send one to Worthy Labs for support.

Voice input

Voice input is optional. When you choose it, Budget Worthy requests microphone access and uses your device’s speech-recognition service to turn speech into text. Audio or transcripts may be processed by your device’s speech-recognition provider under that provider’s terms and privacy policy. Worthy Labs does not receive the audio or transcript.

You can type instead and manage microphone permission through Android settings.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Budget Worthy schedules local notifications on your device. Reminder text is generic and does not include balances, account names, bill names, or financial amounts. Worthy Labs does not operate a push-notification server for these reminders.

App Lock and Screen Privacy

Optional App Lock asks Android to verify you using authentication configured on your device. Worthy Labs and Budget Worthy do not receive or store your fingerprint, face data, PIN, password, or pattern.

Optional Screen Privacy can limit screenshots and app-preview images. These features do not replace a secure device screen lock or encrypt the saved budget.

Analytics, advertising, accounts, and bank connections

Budget Worthy does not currently:

• require or provide a Worthy Labs user account;
• collect an email address through the app;
• connect to bank or payment accounts;
• include advertising or sell data;
• use marketing analytics or behavioral profiling; or
• send production analytics or crash reports to Worthy Labs.

If these practices change, this policy and the app’s disclosures will be updated before the changed functionality is released.

Data retention and deletion

Your active budget remains in app storage until you change it, reset the budget, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app, subject to Android backup and restore behavior. Local recovery snapshots are retained according to the setting you choose.

The in-app reset cannot delete files saved elsewhere, copies held by another app or service, or an Android device backup. Because Worthy Labs does not possess your budget data, Worthy Labs cannot recover or delete it for you.

Children’s privacy

Budget Worthy is a general-audience personal budgeting tool and is not directed to children under 13. Worthy Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when Budget Worthy’s features or legal obligations change. The effective date will be updated when a revised policy is published.
